With this account:
LungMAP Lab members will have access to the BRINDL database in order to identify cases and materials needed.
External collaborators will be provided initial access to Summary Statistics of the BRINDL repository, and a link to further outline your plan for sample use. Upon favorable review of that outline, access to the BRINDL database to request samples will be provided.
Process for Sharing the BRINDL LungMAP Biorepository
New Investigator Biospecimen Request Application
If this is your first BRINDL Biospecimens request, please complete, to the best of your ability, the “Request for BRINDL Biospecimens” form

The LungMAP Tissue Distribution Committee will review and approve your Request or contact you for more information if needed
Upon LungMAP approval of your Request to receive BRINDL specimens, you will be given access by password to view the HTC Inventory
Once you have approval to receive BRINDL specimens, use the “New RC Request” tool to submit tissue requests
Click on the HTC Inventory folder above and follow the subsequent directions for completing a RC Request
Please provide as much specific detail as you can in the tissue request
Conditions of Use – distribution from BRINDL requires a executed Material Transfer Agreement and IRB Approval
Donor identity is to be kept confidential, samples and clinical data deidentified, Donor ID not released for any reason
Investigator and associates will not make any attempt to identify or contact donor family / donor
Any raw DNA and RNA sequence data will be shared only by restricted access such that recipient of raw sequence also abides by the Conditions of Use. Any additional, non-identifiable data generated may be shared in open access.
Recipient could be asked to destroy or return material at any time if requested
Recipients shall make Legal and Safe use of the human material
Recipients may not use material or its derivatives in humans
Recipients will comply with LungMAP data sharing and publications policy
Abstracts and Publications will be posted on LungMAP.net
Research, research data and methods are requested to be shared expeditiously in scientific forums and by inclusion in the LungMAP database
Acknowledge the LungMAP Consortium and Biorepository in Publications and Presentations
